What is Outpatient?

An Outpatient Program, commonly referred to as OP or GOP (General Outpatient Programming), is the least intensive level of care.  In some settings, outpatient may refer to an individual session once or twice per week with a therapist.  At Shore Break Recovery, the transition from IOP to Outpatient typically means that a client “steps down” to fewer groups each week while continuing individual therapy with their clinician.  At this stage in a client’s recovery process, they have completed intensive outpatient but will still benefit from ongoing clinical support.

What Can I Expect from Shore Break’s Outpatient?

Clients enrolled in our Outpatient services will participate in one group and one individual session each week.  Many of our Recovery Coaching clients are enrolled in this level of care, as it provides ongoing structure and support as participants progress in their recovery.  As folks begin to experience life without mind or mood altering substances, our outpatient program is a safe space to provide support and evaluate their progress.
