What is Partial Care?

Partial Care Services include five hours of clinical programming per day, five days per week.  In the 25 hours of clinical programming per week, a client can expect to engage in a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, motivational interviewing, 12 Step Facilitation Therapy, Relapse Prevention groups, psychodrama and experiential therapies.  The program schedule is quite similar to our intensive outpatient program, but includes more clinical hours.

Who should Receive Partial Care?

In addition to group therapy, clients engaged in partial care services will also participate in individual counseling and family sessions.

While partial care is a service offered at our drug rehab program, it’s somewhat uncommon for us to utilize this service in an individual’s treatment plan.  At Shore Break Recovery, we only recommend the partial care level of care in the rare instances that extensive clinical hours are necessary – we believe that transitioning from a highly therapeutic setting towards independent living requires less time in the clinical processing phase, and more hands-on experience in the real world.
